BUSINESS COMMENTARY... CHANGE - BALANCED WITH ACCOUNTABILITY
The need for change has been an ongoing message from the Obama administration. I believe that change needs to be balanced with strict accountability.
A specific example would be federal government spending. The extreme amounts of federal spending (a definite and real change) that have already occurred and are being considered should be balanced with accountability: how the money is planned to be spent; how the money is actually spent; how and when the spending is intended to be funded (and who is to pay); and finally how, when, and by whom the spending is actually funded. All of this information needs to be made public; this is nothing more than what voters should expect and deserve. The lack of this type of accountability can lead to “change for the sake of change” - especially under duress…
